We arrived on Dumbe only to find that the orographic cloud was only 10 meters above the NNE takeoff and dropping by the minute but the wind was perfect, there was no time to spare. Within seconds the cloud ingulped us... so we decided to walk down the slope to just under the cloud to layout! We waited for a window and off we went... What a view and an experience to be able to ridgesoar an orographic cloud. What a fantastic flight!
